I did not go to this particular store but I do go to the one in Sturbridge but I found this on Facebook and wanted to share. I find your staff is great and appreciate the way they treat my daughter and the way they treated this other young woman. Just wanted to say thank you. " I recently went to Maurice's in Athol, Massachusetts. I needed a dress for my husband's school reunion, I was short on time and very short on money. Upon going into the store I saw that the prices were way more than I could afford. A sales associate named Teri Lynn asked me I needed help and I explained I would be trying Marshalls's next door because I could not afford the prices, and there was nothing on clearance in my size. She was very kind and said to come back if I needed anything. I went to Marshalls, only to be told they did not carry sizes above 16 in dresses. When I asked why, she simply stated "we are not that kind of store." Mind you, I have lost 20lbs in the past two months and am still losing weight, but am not yet below a size 16. I was humiliated and ashamed, and left the store in tears. I went back into Maurice's with little hope, and Teri Lynn must have seen something on my face because she asked me what was wrong. I told her what had just happened, and she was horrified. She and her coworker Beth immediately sat me down at the lounge area and went to work finding me dresses not only in my size but at a price I could afford. They stayed with me at the dressing room to help me find a.dress that I liked and that also flattered me. These 2 woman, Teri Lynn and Beth were so kind and helpful to me when I felt like dirt. I can never express how grateful I am for their kindness. I will never again be shopping at that Marshalls. I do believe that these 2 woman should get some kind of recognition for their kindness.
