The office staff,one receptionist ( kudo's to her, she is over worked and underpaid) the nurse is always respectful.....however the Doctor Funa is not knowledgeable in many area's, appointments are never on time...the office needs updates, the sitting room is nasty, the lab room has a light now that has not worked proper in over a month....You can't be discharged if it will result in your medical condition worsening before you find another doctor, or will result in another medical condition.
If your doctor refuses to continue to provide treatment, and as a direct result your condition worsens, you may have the basis of a medical malpractice claim.
Due to a big move to another state, I had to leave Dr. Funas office as a patient. The most kind, professional and caring Dr. who has always been there for me. I cried when I left knowing I couldn't see him again. I was, and anyone who has Dr. Funa for a doctor is very fortunate! Their office help, Kayla is the hardest worker I've ever seen too. She is so pleasant I'll miss her too.
Wish they had more than one phone line.. Can't get ahold of them and it's important
If your doctor says she has to stop treating you, you must try to find another doctor as soon as reasonably possible. Whether or not your doctor can discharge you as a patient after giving you adequate time to find another doctor, and you refused to do so, is a question for the courts.
