Bearsden is an absolute must go. There are no facilities to speak of. When you pull off the road onto the small parking lot there is a path leading to the river. The path is fairly short and well marked. at the end of the path there is a smallish ravine than somewhat resembles a den and there is a river flowing by. the elevation drop of the river coming down is probably over 10 feet. It's a very beautiful place
Friday: obtained a camping permit legally and printed it out. Nothing in the rules about car camping. Saturday: "Nick" chases me off the property in a golf cart because "you can't sleep in your car here". Thanks Nick. I hope you're proud of yourself for depriving a new mom of her only night to herself in five months. Good job.
Bearsden is a beautiful and expansive conservation area with miles of hiking trails from enchanting forests to hill-top vistas down to creeks and rivers-edge. Well worth the visit.
